The Salsa Sorensen Association is proud to host two major fundraising events in 2025, continuing its mission to support local not-for-profit organizations, sporting clubs, and charitable groups in the Douglas Shire.

The first event, the Next Green Group Wine Lunch, will take place on Saturday, 22nd March 2025. This elegant and highly anticipated event will bring together the community for an afternoon of fine wine, gourmet food, and great company. Held at one of the region’s premier venues, Salsa Bar & Grill,, the wine lunch offers attendees an opportunity to enjoy the best local and regional wines while supporting a good cause. Funds raised from the event will be distributed to community groups in need, helping to strengthen local organizations and initiatives.

The second major event, the Brian Sorensen Cup, is scheduled for Sunday, 17th August 2025. This annual golf day is held in honor of the late Brian Sorensen, a beloved local figure, and has become a highlight on the community calendar. The Brian Sorensen Cup brings together golf enthusiasts of all skill levels for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and charity. Participants will compete for the coveted Cup, with proceeds going to support various charitable and community-driven causes within the Douglas Shire.

Both events provide an exciting way for the community to come together, celebrate local heritage, and make a tangible difference for groups in need, furthering the legacy of the Salsa Sorensen Association’s work in the region.
