The Brian Sorensen Cup

The Brian Sorensen Cup is our annual golf day held in memory of the late Brian Sorensen, a much-loved local figure. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Palmer Sea Reef, the day brings together golfers of all skill levels for friendly competition, fun, and community spirit.
Players can enjoy refreshments at the Next Green Group Par-Tee Marquee while raising funds for the Douglas Shire’s not-for-profit groups. On the course, there are plenty of prizes up for grabs, including Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive, the Rob Palethorpe Memorial Trophy, the coveted Brian Sorensen Cup, and even a chance at $20,000 cash for the Hole in One.
It’s a day full of laughter, camaraderie, and giving back – celebrating Brian’s legacy while supporting the heart of our community.
